 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We used R&B Rentauto for our car rental and could not recommend them enough! The booking process was very simple and they were able to assist with handling the international authorization form needed in order to travel into Montenegro and Bosnia over land. Upon arrival to the airport in Tirana, we were met at the exit by our contact who helped us with our baggage to the car, which was waiting just a 2 minute walk away. The vehicle was a Hyundai diesel hatchback which ran great and worked perfectly over our two week trip around the country and into Montenegro and Bosnia. Drop-off was at the airport as well and was very simple. Next time we are in Albania we will absolutely be using R&B Rentauto again!

We rented a Golf mk 6 with a custom car play and a fast charger, had a great time with it. Drove really well and was looked after by the owners. When we landed at the Airport Redi was holding a sign and helped with our luggage to the car. He was very professional and walked us through the paperwork. He had such a pleasant personality, very cheerful and easy to get along with. We drove from Tirana, to Prizren then to North Macedonia. The only thing I would be bring notice to for anyone renting is if you're planning to cross the borders, make sure to read what paperworks you require. R&B does do cross border paperwork for 40, but when going places like North Macedonia you will need your green card/insurance which they do say is separate. 10/10 if I were to go to Albania again, I would 100% choose R&B Rentauto

We quickly solved all the paperwork and I could start my trip by car. To give the car back, it was quick as well!! The car was in good condition, as described in the advertisement. Rented a VW Passat from these guys, and had it delievered to my hotel (and also picked up from another hotel in Tirana some days later). Is basic insurance included

Yes. All cars include mandatory Third Party Liability insurance that covers damage caused to third parties.

What SIGAL full insurance packages are available?

Coverage may include accidents, fire, natural events, glass, and parking damage. Package availability depends on vehicle age and value:

- Police report required for claims over €300
Standard Kasko 80%
- 20% excess and 2% franchise
- Parking damage up to €500

AutoSOS (roadside assistance)
- 24/7 roadside help, on-site repair, towing up to €200 per event within 100 km

Can I drive the rental car outside Albania?

Cross-border travel is allowed for a fee that covers notary documents. Additional insurance for the destination country may be required before passing the border. The insurance is not covered by Cross-border fee.

Do I need an International Driving Permit (IDP) in Albania?

EU and EEA licences, plus UK and US licences, are generally accepted without an IDP. If your licence is not Latin-alphabet or you are unsure, ask the owner via the contact button on the car page.

Is it safe to drive in Albania?

Yes. Albania’s main roads have improved significantly. A rental car lets you reach places like Theth, Berat, Saranda, and Ksamil on your own schedule. Always follow local speed limits and check road conditions before mountain trips.
